Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate of New York

Renshi Robert Rowley, 7th Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate and 5th Degree Black Belt in Kobudo. He is the Head Instructor of the Kobayashi Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate and Kobudo Dojo in Medford, New York. Renshi Rowley has been studying with the Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate-Do Association since 1982 and has trained under Grandmaster Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato in Okinawa, Japan, and Kyoshi Nabil Noujaim in the United States. He was presented his Shihan Certificate from Hanshi Judan Shugoro Nakazato in March of 2005.

Renshi Rowley, is noted for his integrity, professionalism, and unconditional commitment to excellence in his field. His enthusiasm, drive and ability to motivate others has afforded his students to bring out the best in themselves. Upon meeting Renshi Rowley, one quickly enjoys his sense of humor, warmth, and commitment to the art and sport of karate.

Lisa Strack is a 25 year old Elementary Education Teacher. She has been training in the martial arts for over 10 years with Sensei Rowley. She has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo.

David Barber is a 26 year old Desktop Support Techinician and aspiring musician. He has been training in the martial arts for over 15 years with Sensei Rowley. He has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo. David has received his Shihan Certificate (signed by Hanshi Judan Shugoro Nakazato) from Kyoshi Hachidan Nabil Noujaim in July 2009.

Justin Drach is a 32 year old Service Advisor. He has been training in the martial arts for 19 years and with Sensei Rowley for 17 of those years. He has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo.

Brian Strack is a 27 year old High School Math Teacher. He has been training in the martial arts for over 8 years with Sensei Rowley. He has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo.

Robert Stumpf is a 53 year old Medical Rehabilitation Fitness Director. He has been training in the martial arts for 10 years with Sensei Rowley. He has achieved the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo.

Angelo Santana is a 52 year old Electrical Contractor. He has been training in the martial arts for 7 years with Sensei Rowley. He has achieved the rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) in Karate and Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Kobudo. Angelo has received his Shihan Certificate from Hanshi Judan Shugoro Nakazato in March 2008.
